Adult Auditions – New members                                 

We will be holding adult auditions for new company members on Friday 16th May 2008  at 7.30pm in the Minerva Clubrooms   at 59 Burnbank Terrace, Glasgow.   

Please email marion@minervaclub.net if you are interested in joining the adult company and would like to audition.

Adults will be expected to come prepared - with music - to sing something from any Musical Theatre production of their choice.  (Dancers will also be expected to take part in a short dance audition at a later date.)

Principal Audition pieces will be available at the first music rehearsal on Friday 23rd May with Principal Auditions for the adults being held on Sunday 8th June 2008.

NB The smaller parts, listed in specific scenes, may be cast from the company members rather than at specific auditions, and those cast will also be expected to be in the "chorus" in other scenes.

 Children's Auditions

(Please note that this show is not being run by Minerva Youth Theatre therefore all children interested in taking part in this show will need to audition. It is also pertinent to mention that there are likely to be conflicts in rehearsal dates where a MYT member is involved with this show and MYT's South Pacific. AUDITION INFORMATION

Text Box: The Children’s cast will be: Annie, Molly, Kate, Tessie, Pepper, July, Duffy plus approx. 20 -25 orphans.

 


All children must be able to sing and dance!
 

AGE :                9 years and over

HEIGHT:            No maximum (but within limits, as “Annie” must look around 11 years old)

There will be two children’s casts – performing on alternative evenings. 

The principal parts of “Annie” and the 6 main orphans, as well as an additional 15 -20 orphans per cast, will be chosen from the main auditions to be held on;  Saturday  31st  May 2008   -  at  1.00pm at Stevenson Memorial Hall, 62 Belmont Street, Glasgow, G20 6JR

You should come prepared to sing two songs:   “Tomorrow” from “Annie” and another  from any other Musical Theatre show of your choice e.g. Bugsy Malone, Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, etc.  (Please bring music for your own choice of song.) 

Children will be split into two groups and taught “Tomorrow” and a short dance routine.  The first stage of singing and dance auditions will then be held in small groups from 1.00pm - 3.00pmIf you are asked to remain for a second audition, you will be expected to sing the song of your choice, and read a short piece of dialogue. This stage will run from 3.00pm - 5.00pm

 

We hope to finish the first audition stage by 3.00pm and the second by 5.00pm  - having selected two children’s casts. There will be no other audition date for children.

 

·             Please bring a photo and £3 audition fee – to be paid on entry.

·             If you are able to, print off the application form here, please complete this and bring it with you. If not, you can complete it on the day.

For those who are successful, singing rehearsals will begin on Sunday 8th May from 2pm4pm approx. in the Minerva Clubrooms at 59 Burnbank
